SHOCKS & STRUTS

Replacing old shocks and strut can give back that new car ride that you may be missing. Handling and safety are greatly increased with the improved control of new units.
Shacks and struts basically do the same thing, control suspension movement. The difference being a strut is assembled together with other suspension parts and a shock is a standalone unit. Most modern shocks and struts work by forcing hydraulic fluid inside a tube through valves, this helps control the rebound of the wheel and tire assembly. Without something to control this movement the vehicle would bottom out over even small bumps and be very unstable in turns. Any sudden change in direction could send the vehicle out of control.
Shocks and struts wear out gradually, you may not even notice when new ones are needed. Come by and let us check your shocks and struts at no charge. If you are interested in high performance applications we can help.
